Erich RoseErich (aka - "Elmo") Rose was born in Columbia, South Carolina, raised in small Big Springs, West, TX. His love for music began at the age of two, mimicking drum fills and beats to the likes of John P. Kee, Prince, Earth, Wind and Fire and many other artists. Never neglecting his gift and passion (the oldest of four children) his family moved to Dallas, TX in Spring 1998. Elmo made a name for himself every chance he got by supplying beats for freestyle rappers at lunchtime. Also known for being a good breakdancer he earned the nickname "Elmo". In high school the nickname stuck, he was credited for forming what is still active & competitive today as the B-Box band at his highschool. Elmo was the only African American on his drumline and got a signed petition of 1,600 students to form a cadence band for the football fans. "Our cadences were wack & I personally grew tired of complaints from our students and football players. Plus were getting embarressed by other drumlines & ELMO don't roll like that,"says Erich.

His band at colleagues entertained fans every game. ELMO had his first piece of fame, but he wasn't finished. ELMO's chops were so impressive, his ex-drum instructor paid for his classes at Richland "J" College just so he could sit behind the kit in hits instructor's jazz ensemble. He has recorded in the studio with Jerome Howard & the Body at Christ Choir as their drummer. His style and creativity to hold the most solid pocket while being tasteful has ELMO in demand right now. He has been on stages with fusion and prog rock bands such as Medium, New Magnetic North and Pulse, his most recent project When Gravity Fails. He has written and produced songs for soulful Gospel act Impact and has worked and performed with up and coming Christian hip hop/rock sensation Red Diesel Project, just to name a few!!
